CakapCakap – Cakap People! The Weeknd memenangkan 10 penghargaan terkemuka di Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) 2021, yang berlangsung Minggu malam, 23 Mei 2021, (waktu Amerika Serikat), atau Senin pagi, 24 Mei 2021, waktu Indonesia.
Kemenangan The Weeknd juga diikuti oleh mendiang Pop Smoke yang meraih lima penghargaan, dan BTS dan Bad Bunny dengan masing-masing empat penghargaan.

10 penghargaan itu membuat The Weeknd kini memiliki total 19 piala Billboard Music Awards. Dia memenangkan Top Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Hot 100 Song Presented by Rockstar; Top Male Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top R&B Artist, Top R&B Male Artist, Top R&B Album, Top Radio Song, dan Top R&B Song.
Lima penghargaan Pop Smoke adalah Top Billboard 200 Album, Top New Artist, Top Rap Artist, Top Rap Male Artist, dan Top Rap Album.

BTS memenangkan empat penghargaan, di antaranya adalah; Top Selling Song, Top Duo/Group, Top Song Sales Artist, dan Top Social Artist (Fan Voted).
Sedangkan Bad Bunny memenangkan Top Latin Artist, Top Latin Male Artist, Top Latin Album, dan Top Latin Song.
Drake tetap menjadi penerima BBMAs paling banyak sepanjang masa.
BBMAs 2021 digelar di depan penonton langsung yang telah divaksinasi penuh dan memakai masker di alun-alun di luar Gedung Microsoft Theater LA, dengan pemenang muncul dari area “belakang panggung” tertutup untuk menerima penghargaan mereka dengan membelakangi kerumunan penonton.
